Holiday Movie List

The perfect Holiday shirt for many!

A number of years ago we started seeing t-shirts for sale that said, "Let's bake stuff, drink hot cocoa, and watch Christmas movies!"  There were other variations that specifically mentioned baking Christmas cookies, watching Hallmark movies, or might even have mentioned wine.

Regardless of the specifics that might suit each individual, these t-shirts became very popular.  One of my best friends even bought one, herself.  The sentiments expressed are pretty universal, and maybe even more applicable this year than ever before.

As Christmas approaches, I can't think of anything more cozy and heart-warming than baking up some Christmas goodies, whipping up some frothy hot chocolate with marshmallows, popping up a big bowl of popcorn, and watching our favorite Holiday movies on the couch under a big, fluffy blanket.  Don't forget to light a fire in the fireplace, too!

These are the nights that make special Christmas memories which will linger our entire lifetimes.  This is the way to create memories for our children, and make them feel cherished.  Special treats, a warm cup of soothing liquid, and our favorite Holiday entertainment watched with our family, is all any child truly wants (at least until Santa arrives!).

So, with that in mind, here's a rundown of my favorite Holiday movies, including a few that are best watched after the kids have fallen asleep and been carried to bed!  You might want to refer to this list to make sure you don't miss any of your favorites this year ... or keep your own list of personal favorites in your own movie-watching journal.  You might even see some new ones on this list you've never heard of before, so check them out!
